FRM121 Annual Inter-House Music Festival Primary

PRIMARY SCHOOL ENTRY

PERFORMANCE DATE: WEDNESDAY 27 AUGUST 2025

Please note: All entries are due by Monday 18 August 2025 3:30pm and late entries will not be accepted.

Information for Students and Parents

The Festival is open to all students of St Stephen’s School and students are encouraged to share their musical gifts in a friendly, supportive environment involving a small audience of staff, students and parents.
All performances will be heard by an external adjudicator.
Schedule of performance times will be posted in the Primary Music Room and on the Primary Blog by Monday afternoon 25 August 2025.
Students do not need to be in the same House to perform together as a duet/ensemble.
We encourage siblings to perform together and will work across the primary and high school to facilitate performances by siblings.
Parents, staff and students are invited to attend the Festival at any time during the day.

Rules and Conditions

VERY IMPORTANT: All entrants must submit a printed copy of their music.
All entrants must provide an accompanist or backing track if applicable.
Students are only permitted to do ONE performance per category (i.e. C1, C2 etc.)
If you want to perform in several sections, please complete a separate entry form for each section.

Section A: Vocal

A1 - Vocal solo
A2 - Vocal group (2 or more singers)

Vocal items must have either live accompaniment or backing tracks without professional vocal lines. Backing tracks should be provided in advance along with your entry form and printed music. This can be by email or on USB. Please check with the Music Department if you are unsure.

Section B: Pianoforte

B1 - Piano solo
B2 - Piano duet

Section C: Instrumental – Woodwind, Brass, Strings and Percussion

C1 - Instrumental solo
C2 - Instrumental duet
C3 - Instrument group (3 or more players)
C4 - Rhythm or pop group (3 or more perormers with or without vocals)

Section D: Composition

D1 - Composition - music/words must be proviced
